"New" Kitchen

 Kyle made it to WaKeeney Sunday night

about 11:00 his time.

It was a FAST trip!

He left here about 9 Saturday morning!

I guess that's what happens when you 

DON'T have a bunch of vehicles together

in a convey including an old lady who

doesn't like to drive more than 8 - 9 hours

and not much after dark.

As well as a bunch of dogs that need to

stop for a walk every couple of hours.

Anyhow.

Monday morning he drove out to the ranch

and checked on his house.

He was a little worried about the roof with

all the wind and snow we got this winter.

But everything looks snug as a bug.

Then he went into Hays to Home Depot to

buy some paint.

He's going to paint the interior a nice

clean semi-gloss white.

He also picked up some cabinet paint.

I don't have any before pictures of the kitchen.

But here's a "mid-way" picture!

This is only one coat.

Above the fridge is the old color of the cabinets.

UGH!

I LOVE the new green he picked.

He said it took it from boy scout camp 

to bright, fresh and happy.

Also if you look to the right under the

window, that's the current color of the 

living room.

So that's going to be white.

YEA!

AND!!!!!

After he paints he will pull up the nasty carpet.

He pulled up a corner yesterday.

You guys!

That's HARD WOOD!

It will need some work,

but it's HARD WOOD!

I'm kind of thrilled.
