Good Bye Discovery

The Space Shuttle Discovery has always been "our" shuttle.  The boys went to Discovery Elementary School and, although we always watched every single shuttle launch, there was always a special feeling when it was a Discovery mission.

She has always held a special place in our hearts.

And yesterday... She left.

Luckily, I have a good friend who was able to catch some final glimpses of her as she did a final fly-over on her way to her new home.

Goodbye Discovery.  Thank you for your many years of service.

Meanwhile - I promised a picture of the girls with their heads stuck out of the bars.
I forgot until they were in their "night" crate, inside the house.

Yes, they are INCREDIBLY messy.  (I clean it up EVERY DAY.)  Last night I switched out from woodchips (thank you guinea pig) to hay (thank you horses) and this morning the floor is CLEAN!  Yippeeeee!

She would NOT hold her little head still...  LOL
Moments after, there was a chicken on the floor.  (Black)
They are growing quickly, but are still small enough to escape.
