Happy Birthday to my DAD

Today is my Dad's birthday.
It's always fun to look back and
remember things we did together.

Like riding Robertsons horses.
Bareback.
And him spending an hour patiently
trying to teach me to hop on
like he could.

I still can't do it.

Poor man.

And teaching me to ski.
I moved to Florida.

Teaching me about nature and
finding edible plants in the woods.
(a skill I'm grateful for today and have
passed on to my boys).

Sharing his love of music.
Although I never learned to REALLY whistle.

Sharing his love of the gospel.
Sharing his love of serving others.
Sharing his love of family.

I am who I am today because
he is who he was (and is) throughout
my life.

I love you Dad.
